Tri-Lift NJ offers certified training programs that will increase safety awareness in your facility or job site. Trained operators reduce workman’s comp insurance, reduce product and equipment damage, and ultimately keep you and your employees safe and your costs down.
Reduce the risk of personal injury, and your costs too.
Operator training is important because it can reduce the risk of accidents and resulting injuries to the lift truck operator and fellow workers. A added benefit for employers is that training your employees not only keeps them safe, but could lower your insurance costs. Federal OSHA studies show that improper or unsafe operation is the major cause of accidents and their corresponding fatalities and serious injuries. Therefore, a reduction in the unsafe operation of lift trucks will reduce the number of accidents. Training is the key to this reduction. Federal OSHA estimates that accidents can be reduced by 25 percent with an effective training program.
Reduce the risk of property and product damage.
Training can protect your company against product and property damage. Federal OSHA studies show that property damages range from $8 million to $50 million annually. Property damage includes damage to product, equipment, racking and structures.
It is the law.
Our training programs meet OSHA Standards, Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training Standard 29CFR – 1910.178 (PITOT). Federal OSHA regulations require that the employer ensure that the lift truck operator is competent to operate the lift truck safely as demonstrated by the successful completion of training. What is important to realize is that whether a person operates a lift truck once a day or once a year, he or she must be trained.
On the average, there are 107 fatalities, 33,800 serious injuries, and 61,800 non serious injuries per year.
